Should I get MGSV for 360 this December?

There's a whole lot to do in TPP. It's the game's strength. I myself have put in over 120 hours and I'm only 70% done. And I'm a Metal Gear veteran.

If you want something satisfying to sink hours of time into, MGSV's your best bet.

Have you played the other games?

Playing all the games in a row will probably make you enjoy MGSV more, rather than wait 3 years and be a bit let down

Disagreed. If he doesn't experience the other games he doesn't have a frame-of-reference for the story style. He'll enjoy the game more if he hasn't played the others.

Great stealth mechanics but also an action game if you want to play it that way, huge open world, and the dev team thinks of everything, but the story isn't the best.

It's better if you play the whole series imo. See how far the gameplay has come. Best not to think about how much the story starts going downhill though.

If you want a story, then you don't want this game. If you want story, get the MG collection and play those.

If you want an open world with shit to do and fun gameplay, then this is a great game. No other game does stealth better if you ask me.

Definitely. I was in the same boat as you. I played bits and pieces of 2, 3, and PW. Got this game on a whim and fell in love. It's a ton of fun to play, story won't make a ton of sense but meh.

You can argue what you want about 30 vs 60 fps, but to say it doesn't matter is a little too black and white.

Keep in mind that you should always advocate STABLE frame rate, but it 30 or 60. If a 60fps game normally dips below 60 and jumps all around, then it won't look good. Same with games that drop below 30, because then it looks terrible.

Resident Evil Revelations had this problem because of poor optimization.

It's not even in the same ballpark.

A book with unreadable text is flat out shit. Period.
A game that is 30fps can still be a great game.

A much better comparison would have been 720p vs 1080p. The human eye barely registers the difference.
