I was thinking of getting PW (Peace Walker) until PO came in, and I don't have a PS VITA. Also I want to get into BBs (Big Boss) story, so is PO canon or not canon, if it's not canon then i'll go straight to PW.

I enjoyed it actually. I thought it was a cool building block to how Big Boss recruited his soldiers. However Kojima doesn't see it as canon or something.

And Peace Walker I honestly thought was the most meh of the MGS games. I couldn't even finish it because it was always guiding you on a more small mission based thing and every boss was some tank or mech.

To answer your question though, you can just straight into PW, HOWEVER if you just play Ground Zeroes, they sum it all up for you, because the story was really retarded (and that's saying something for a MGS game).

Then no buy for PW because I already played that glorify demo called Ground Zeros.

Read the summary in GZ if you can. I got it for free on PS4, so I enjoyed it without paying.

Portable Ops is quite fun. I rather enjoyed it.

I mean, Peace Walker is arguably one of the best games of last generation, so it's hard to compete with that. But Portable Ops is satisfactory in my books.

I'm fairly sure certain aspects with be recognised as canon for MGSV, if that's your goal. If not, just play it for the sake of playing a good game.

You can probably emulate it with your computer, though.

Really? I'm a massive MG fan and I thought Peace Walker was the most boring in the entire series. Only one I didn't finish.

Yeah, we've had this conversation before.

I need to go back and play it again. I just remember really, really enjoying it.
