For the 360. I don't have xbox live. I'd probably play 2-3 hours a week so it'd be paced nice and slow. I know nothing about this game but I trust you guys to have good game opinions

Without the DLC, it's pretty shy of content.  Without XBL, you can't play strikes or raids, which are pretty much the only interesting parts of the game.

if it's just the base game, then no. you can complete the story in 2-3 hours.

Nah, base game is horrible. Repetitive missions, not much of a story at all, and you can't do end game raids as others have pointed out.

Your best bet is to just watch some Destiny "movie" on YouTube or something and gear up for Destiny 2.
