Should i buy a Nintendo 3DS for the pokemon games?

Sometimes I go through phases where I play tons of pokemon for a few months. I'm getting that itch again so I was wondering if you guys think Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire and X & Y were worth it? Thanks

yeah. gamefreak is one of the few truly consistent developers. the new pokemon games are fantastic.

id also like to recommend monster hunter for ds. and bravely default.

yes, there are way more great games for the 3ds thAn just pokemon too, like super smash and mm/oot 3D

or u can try out xenoblade

As much as I hate to admit it, because I really dislike the model the Pokemon series uses, but the games are pretty damn fun on the 3DS. There are plenty of other good games out there, too.

Of course, it's one of the best investments I've ever made. Skip out on X/Y and go straight to OR/AS though.

Well I mean, it only has A Fire Emblem/Waifu Simulator game and 2 SMT games. Also, the SMT games aren't very good because neither of them are Nocturne or Digital Devil Saga 2

Definitely OR/AS. The sequel to X/Y will be coming out within the next 2 years and will have way more features than it. X/Y also has very little endgame.

If you REALLY like them? Sure I guess. But I wouldn't ONLY play them.

I recently picked up Fire Emblem: Awakening and it's incredible.

There's more reason to buy a 3DS than pokemon. It has an excellent line up.

If you're not interested in any other games, then don't bother. X/Y isn't worth playing now, not since we'll have the inevitable Z/XY2 announcement soon. OR/AS is great, but with the removal of battle frontier it gets pretty stale once you beat the story mode.

not sure if there's a difference between the games the new 3ds and the older 3ds/2ds can play

The New 3DS is compatible with Amiibos, can play newer, larger games like Xenoblade Chronicles, and has a C-stick. Other than that, there is no difference.

Alpha Sapphire, for sure. Sapphire is infinitely superior to Ruby.

I'd probably advise against spending hundreds of dollars for just one series.
Are there no other games that interest you? Cuz there are a ton of good games on 3ds.

Would definitely recommend fire emblem, bravely default, or persona q if you're looking for an rpg.
