The raids were excellent

The rest of the game was a mess but I miss grouping up as 6 and fighting through the raids. Especially going blind the first time through. Really awesome experience.

I really wish more games (besides MMOs) would try a having a small group of people needing really good communication and being able to solve puzzles and stuff together.

Talk about awesome things you wish more games did

You will find out who you are not a thousand times, before you ever discover who you are. I hope you find peace in yourself and learn to love instead of hate.
I wish more games would have 4v4 team objective on high ground

You either die a hero or live long enough to become Mythic..
They were good.

But generally the rewards were shit. Which did not make it worthwhile.

And then they go ahead and make the previous raid useless by updating the game to make you buy the next raid.

It WOULD'VE been cool.

needing the fugly raid shit to be level capped and making everything old obsolete were both absolutely retarded ideas

That's what happens when Bungie goes down the shithole.

The raids looked fun. I thought not having matchmaking reallllly sucked for it though. It's very hard to get a group of 6 friends together at the same time to do something.

I think they should keep all content relevant for the life of the game. So everything from Destiny, The Dark Below, House Of Wolves, The Taken King, and Rise of Iron is useful. Then when the actual sequel comes out they can make us abandon the old stuff. MMOs do this, but it's usually over a longer time frame so it doesn't hurt as much. As for matchmaking, they should add that too. But it's really not that hard to get 6 people together. The problem is elitism. Always wanting you to have certain things or certain experience. Be thankful it's only 6, and not 25, or 40.

If the randoms you get matched with for the other activities in Destiny are any indication, there's almost no way you'd complete a raid with them

I think 99% of the people who did them used destinylfg sites or the subreddit. That's how I completed them all and almost everyone I got on there was nice and competent as opposed the the knuckle draggers and squeakers I would get in pvp and strikes

And yet I can still do the same for something like Final Fantasy 14. As long as you have a basic understanding of working together, I think it'd help.

Sounds nice. If I had an Xbox One I'd play with people here, but I don't.

I think that has to do with the games audience and accessibility. I garuntee many more kids and "casual gamers" play destiny than ff14

It has to do with a lot of things actually. Specifically the "holy trinity" (tank, healer, dps) of it.

Though raid-wise, they haven't yet been able to top the first. Vault of Glass was a brilliant piece of game.

Crota's End, while extremely thematic, is quite short and underwhelming. King's Fall feels like more of the same, and isn't very fun. Skolas's Revenge is quite enjoyable as well, but I always prefer the six-man activities.

God remember the first time we did vault of glass? It took us fucking forever to get through that maze

Our first raid experience is among my top 5 most fond gaming memories. We should get a group going again, man. I'm itching to take Atheon down once more.

The 3 Rush games by Midway had what is possibly the worst physics engine to ever grace this dimension, but the fact that you could collect shit to unlock Cars was pretty neato. Almost none of the shortcuts in the Racetracks seem to have been tested to see if they work and the stunt maps are Jank city, but the option to be creative/explorative was appreciated tbh.

I liked the customization options in Guitar Hero 5 too, and being able to play as your avatar was pretty sweet

They were fun, but the boss fight in King's Fall was just ridiculous, and after trying many times I was never able to beat it. And the only way to get gear good enough to do better in it was by being carried by a strong team.

Did they ever release raid modes for the new level caps?

They did. It drops gear now for LL335.

All I can say is we wiped way more on VoG. King's Fall wasn't that hard. Neither was VoG. Just sections of it. My first try on King's Fall. This was everyone's first try in our group. Day 1. We beat the first section and boss like it was nothing. Demolished the Warpriest. We got to Golgoroth and wiped once or twice. Then got to Sisters and was raped. And we quit for the night and beat it the next one. It really isn't that hard once you know what to do.

No. They raised the light level, you can get any piece of gear from The Taken King, raid gear or not, and bring it up to max level. As for making all content be equal. Well, I dunno. I can't answer that. Part of it is them wanting you to use new stuff, but otherwise I don't know.

Ya know

I probably would still be playing this game if the items you got were scaled by level.

Think about it. That would have fixed SO MUCH SHIT.

All raids would be viable, all missions would be worthwhile, but you'd still have to grind somewhat which is what Bungievision wants.
