Putting Oblivion on the same level as Skyrim is just insulting. I'm not saying Oblivion is even deserving of good tier RPG, but it most certainly excelled past Skyrim in almost every way you can measure the quality of RPG elements.

And lack of Dragon's Dogma disappoints.

Almost finished DA:O and my god, its addictive, a good damn game, I actually want to at least try Dragon Age 2, is it really that bad? Or is it at least worth a try

It's pretty bad and no where near Origins in quality.

Like, there's literal cut and paste dungeons, they removed tactical view from combat and turned it into a button mash simulator, they did some weird stuff with the story and the game world itself could've had a lot more done with it personally >.>

But some of the characters are great and while it doesn't match up to Origins even closely, it's not the worst thing ever!

However it's not the Mass Effect 2 of Dragon Age and it does tie a lot into Dragon Age: Inquisition, which is a much better game that's pretty on par with DA: O in my opinion >.>

I wouldn't go that far.
The world building of Inquisition was really good, but everything else not so much. The characters were good too, but not Origins-tier good.

Inquisition's story peaked at the end of Act 1 (Attack on Haven/Corypheus), after that it's not as good.
It's padded as fuck with shitty MMO-tier fetch quests to make the game longer.

Still a good game, and definitely leagues above 2, but not nearly as good as Origins.

I think DA'2's combat was far better, Origins you just tap a button and do nothing really, everything else is better by leagues.

The older I get the more I start to agree with this. I dunno if it's because I play video games less than I used to or if it's because my adolescent imagination is shriveling up and I can't entertain myself.
