What's your definition of terrible? Be specific.

You're the one saying a critically acclaimed game is bad.
The quest lines we're boring, uninteresting, poorly written and very weak.
The main quest line is the prime offender to this.

Your actions also had next to no affect besides the shittily done takeover of Whiterun or Windhelm.

Again, this is a meme tier post. Halo 3 had a great story and tied up the trilogy nicely.
It didn't, but okay.
Quote
>magic
>ranged weapons

It's an RPG. This genre isn't exactly known for the best combat. But like I said, that's my main problem with The Elder Scrolls as a franchise. The combat could be better.
Magic and ranged weapons were just the same. Repeatedly press trigger/hold trigger until the enemy dies.

There's RPGs with much better combat, that aren't as depthless and monotonousas Skyrim's. The Witcher 3, for example. All 3 (melee, magic and ranged) are all seamlessly combined into a fluid combat system.

They were an issue. For the first month. The game ran perfectly smooth after that; and ran perfectly smooth from the start for most people.
They're still an issue to this very day.
I played Skyrim at release and continued to do so for much longer afterwards. During which I had to restart because of bugs.

Just because you didn't encounter any doesn't mean they aren't there.

I didn't encounter any issues with the MCC, but it'd be a barefaced lie if I claimed they didn't exist.

Oblivion is a better game than Skyrim (sans Hearthfire, my DLC-fu), but I can never get past the potato faces nowadays.

Again, you're not being specific. You're saying they're boring. Boring how?
And it seems that even if you do get choices, people complain about the choices you get. Mass Effect, for example. There's just no pleasing people like you.
I literally just told you.
Quote
As opposed to what? Witcher can barely call what it has a combo system.
Where did I even say The Witcher has a combo system?
Quote
The Witcher games are honestly extremely boring to me. Protagonist is boring and lifeless, combat is meh tier at best with no insanely powerful magic to make up for the sub par sword fighting.
I'm specifically talking about the Witcher 3's combat. TW1's was awful, and TW2's was sub-par.
TW3 seamlessly combines all 3 into one combat system allowing you to mix up your fighting and specialise in one more than the others, or balance them out equally.

A full Sign build is deadly af. The Signs get pretty OP with the more points you attribute to that tree.
Quote

You either die a hero or live long enough to become Mythic..
I'd say both Oblivion and Skyrim were enjoyable. However both have a problem each that just sucks.

Oblivion has character's with faces shaped like potatoes, but look like burnt plastic
All of the movements in Skyrim were just bad..everyone was exactly the same, in how they talked, walked and fought.

No you didn't. You aren't going into detail at all.
Poorly written. Uninteresting. Placebo choices. Uninteresting characters. Etc etc.
Also the radiant quests they hyped up were just the same thing over and over.
Quote
It's by about what you say, it's about the game having a shitty attempt at a combo system.
It doesn't even try to have a combo system, so yeah I guess it does have a shitty combat system if you grasp enough.
Quote
And I'm talking about the franchise as a whole, beyond just combat.
I only mentioned TW3 because of the combat. I don't really care what you think of the characters or the story and such because it has nothing to do with my point.
Quote
So like a Mage character in Oblivion.
I guess. Except TW3's combat isn't garbage.
Quote
I didn't "literally" say there are no problems when I LITERALLY said they were problems. Three times now. Every game has bugs and glitches. People always exaggerate how bad they are in Bethesda's games.
Besides the part where you made out that there were only issues for the first few months.
Quote
What's retarded about the other Dragons? What's wrong with Alduin being a more powerful version of other dragons?
The dragons have awful AI. Like, more retarded than AC's AI.
Alduin was marginally "more powerful". He was no different than an Ancient Dragon, albeit with a unique skin.
Underwhelming is a massive understatement.

The combat system makes anything in Elder Scrolls like like childs play, which it already is. You don't need DD to tell you that.

I don't disagree. I just don't see how it's really relevant to Chally and Lemon's conversation besides as a frame of reference for how combat could be handled. Even then, something else being better doesn't necessarily make the TES games bad. Just means they aren't as good.

Skyrim's writing wasn't really all that great, Chally, and neither was the presentation of it.

Presentation actually bugged me a shit ton in Skyrim as compared to other games. Combat is the best in Skyrim, though combat has never been the strength of any Elder Scrolls game. Something they should probably take a look at. The Witchers is far more in depth, challenging, and consistent, and while being a mage may be flashy, standing in front of an enemy while just holding RT to blow ice, while he does the same to you, is not really that fantastic.

That's because of how long it takes you to do things and how spaced out things are. Just because there is a big overworld (actually Skyrim's is smaller, just the mountain ranges make it seem bigger) doesn't mean it has so much depth.

Honestly I got way more enjoyment out of Oblivion I think than Skyrim. I felt the quest writing was far better, and the world just immersed me more at the time when I was playing.

Of course I can't now due to age, but back then it just absorbed me into it.
