I haven't touched competetive Pokemon since ORAS

Twenty years of power-creep and now games end in three turns. They really should have stopped at Synchro but even that was pushing it.

Yeah. Synchro would have been a fine stopping point. It was fun and 5Ds was probably the last good Yugioh series. (I haven't seen Vrains yet) In fact things were already getting a bit out of hand even then when you had stuff You had Six Sams, Plant synchro and I believe, Laval Quazar was a thing by then too,

Jeez I dont see how you can stand the pokemon TCG. I played that online just yesterday and it was a clusterfuck of RNG.
One guy did nothing but confuse my Pokemon and then dropped a bunch of cards on his pokemon so that even if my attacks did go through, they did nothing, so what resulted was about 40 minnutes waiting for my pokemon just to knock themselves out.

Two balanced decks going against each other can be really fun. The RNG is really the worst aspect of it but modern Pokemon is still miles above modern Yugioh.
