so there's a pokemon tourney at my college so I'm entering for shits and giggles. Winner gets a copy of omega Ruby (which I already have)

Anyway I need some help with my team. It's just for fun so I'm not going super try hard, I'm not changing out any pokemon but I'll change moves. My biggest concern is scizor and garchomp to a lesser extent. I would post on serribi but if you don't copy paste from smogon they flame you

It just seems redundant somehow to have both Scyther and Scizor, but I like it because they're kind of like siblings :3

It's mario and Luigi. I'm super unsure of scizor a moveset though. May swap pursuit for swords dance but that would make scizor even MORE situational

Garchomp is basically useless now that Togekiss is it's natural predator. But I doubt that the kids at your college are that skilled.

I would use Outrage, and maybe a berry to cure confusion (if you're adamant about not using scarf).

As for Mega evolutions, I would use Gardevoir and switch out Scyther for Mega Kangaskhan. Power-Up punch attacks and raises your attack stat twice with each turn.

But hey, that's just me.

Still. I doubt anyone is going to say jack about you having Kangaskhan. But it's up to you.

I'd use almost anything over Garchomp, switch out Gardevior for Gengar/Alakazam, Scyther for something else.


You should find out the rules. If it's simple "no legendaries" just spam speed boost Blaziken.

I don't think you understand the sheer power of the pixilated hyper voice. How about garchomp for gyarados?

Seems well rounded enough, but I'd recommend Mega Pinsir in place of Scyther and Azumarill in place of Gardevoir.

I don't really have time to breed and then ev train a pokemon...

What's the format then? I'm guessing that it's 3v3 singles based on the sets (In which case you should go bitch and moan until they change it to VGC2014) so I can't really help .

I don't even know. It's the most disorganized shit ever. Multiple people and I have tried contracting the group running it about the rules and they aren't answering.

I have no idea then :/ I would assume it's going to be Smogon OU, considering the number of people who seem to think that it's the rules
