Serperior is one of my favourite 'Mons.

Serperior was the only mildly decent one from Unova, the other two were just mehhhhh

Greninja and Delphox are gr8 m8 but Chesnaught looks like something out of a bad Cartoon Network show

Samurott looks great, though. And Emberor looks better than both Delphox and Chestnaught, while still looking like crap.

Not really, I was just vainly hoping they wouldn't milk Gen 6 for another round of clones.

Indeed, it's kind of sad really that the spinoffs look more interesting than another installment in the main franchise.

This is the first time in at least 7 years where I've considered not buying the next Pokemon game.

The more that I think about it, the less and less I want a Pokemon Z.
I don't trust Game Freak and co. to make this a different game.

Maybe I'm just a little burned out, the only Pokemon related thing I feel like even thinking about is Pokken Tournament.

Not even Pokken for me, I just can't get excite for anything Pokemon and it's getting much harder to go back and play the Pokemon games I actually enjoy. I'm probably just burnt out, but I don't trust Game Freak either. I can even see them following whatever design ideas they had with X/Y/OR/AS since those games were pretty damn successful.

Honestly, I think I'm done with Pokemon. I got Alpha Sapphire and it was really boring. I think I've just played all of them so much that the formula has finally gotten to monotonous for me. Same with Assassin's Creed.

Looking back, all of these designs are pretty awful.

The 100% form is barely tolerable and pretty much destroys the mythology behind X&Y's trio.
The dog form is so out of place.
And having an Ash form for Greninja? Are they drawing inspiration from deviant art now?

Only for Smogon rules in the OU tier. You can use Greninja anywhere that doesn't use Smogon rules, such as Battle Spot.

It was banned because it had no counters after being able to learn Gunk Shot and Low Kick in ORAS. In the XY meta, its counters were Azumarill, Clefable, and Chansey, all of which are weak to one of the aforementioned moves. Because of Protean, Greninja has STAB for all of those moves meaning all those Pokemon were either OHKO'd or took a massive sum of damage.
