The whole tournament is for fun anyway. The only rules in place are for preventing cheesy mechanics that ruin a fight and preventing people from getting the upper hand just by spamming legendary/event pokemon. We could also do a no rules free-for-all after the tournament is finished too.

Alrighty, sounds good then >.>

The last time I had a pokemon battle with another human was in... 2010 I think <.<
So this should be amusing at least.

I wouldn't like that either <.<
I only have one star pokemon like that, but the rest of my battleable ones are just regularly trained from previous games or in XY >.>

I think it should be made clear its a for fun tournament, that way more people will play. No reason to go full tryhard

I have perfect pokemon competitive teams but I would like this tournament to be all for fun. I'd rather use my in game team and have a good time than use a team that's gunna wreck a bunch of people, that would suck for everybody

I would be okay with that. First tournament For Fun, second tourney For Glory, although we won't settle it in Smash.

If we do something on Showdown or Pokemon Online, I'd get in on that. Last I checked, my router dislikes being connected to my 3DS for too long.

I find that the tiers should only be used as a team building resource. Being forced to stick to only a select number of Pokemon in a tier is annoying and greatly limits the fun. The tiers are not always accurate either. There are plenty of BLs, UUs, and RUs that can slug it out with OUs and Ubers. I prefer the traditional Nintendo method where the only banned Pokemon are the event Pokemon and major legendaries.

pokemon from lower tiers can compete in higher tiers, but pokemon from higher tiers cant compete in lower tiers. this year's international double battle champion won using pachirisu, an NU pokemon.
