Does anyone in here play it, or collect the cards? I tried playing it a while back but had no idea what the fuck I was doing so I left it for a while. I was in Leuuwarden last week and visited a game shop and they had some cards so I figured why not. I got some pretty nice cards in packs and I really liked the artwork on them so I thought I might start collecting them and keeping them safe.

I've got plenty of decks still around. Sadly none of them are legal anymore. I haven't bought cards since gen IV...

As I understand it, it's actually more limited than MTG.
MTG has certain playtypes where you can use a wider collection of cards.
As far as I know the Pokemon TCG is all new stuff now. You really can't go do anything official with older cards.

Pretty much. The standard format is actually pretty tight, and the expanded only maybe doubles the usable card sets, but they're still only from gen V and VI packs, I think.

I've got this folder that my Siblings and I kept our cards in, It's full of OG Pokemon cards and shit, as well as some DBZ Tazos/Cards from the same era, and I have a few decks from the B/W gen lying around somewhere too.
