TBH the only one I enjoyed was the Stanley Parable because it played with your expectations.

Dear Esther was kinda neat, but not something I'd buy again. Can't say I've bothered with any other "walking sim" games.

The angel agreed to trade a set of white wings for the head of another demon. Overjoyed, the demon killed one of his own and plucked the head right off its still-warm body.

The angel then led the demon to heaven, where he underwent centuries of the cruelest tortures imaginable. Finally, the pain was so great that he lost consciousness - at which point his dark wings turned the promised shade of white.
Only played Dear Esther, it was...okay i suppose

Nothing wrong with walking simulators. Gone Home didn't deserve GOTY awards, though.

I wouldn't say they are bad.

But like how I see choose your adventure games, I count them as games but they are mainly an experience.
