Older PS2 games you remember/reccommend

So I might be getting a PS2 soon and I plan on replaying my old favorites and then I remembered there were lots of good looking games that I might have tried briefly on a demo, or not at all.

So does anyone have old favorites they fondly remember, and reccommend? I've been thinking about trying Maximo.

It began as a very fun and fresh new platformer franchise with an interesting story and likeable characters.
By the time Jak 3 was out, the game was a TPS with platforming elements.
Still pretty fun though.
