As it stands they only reason I can see to play it would be to explore the procedurally generated worlds, but even then I could just download a texture pack for Minecraft and have a better looking experience with more depth.minecraft isn't a space sim

But can you plant an acorn and watch it grow into a tree?
pretty sure she's alluding to a fable 2 lie
Can I be real for a second? This board is fucking atrocious right now. You're all acting like a bunch of whiny, entitled little babies.A tiny team of people made an entire universe for you to explore. They made it for YOU, and they're going to wake up tomorrow morning and see that instead of enjoying it, this community of "fans" picked out the 3 or 4 things that weren't perfect and are using that to fucking riot.Guess what? The game was never going to be perfect. It was never going to live up to your hype. It was never going to be everything you'd ever want in a game. What it WAS going to be was an impossibly big universe filled with mysteries and weird shit I just played it for 2 hours and it was exactly that. What more do you want?Is it buggy? Sure. Is it repetitive? Maybe. Is the inventory system imperfect and the multiplayer feature questionable and the structure unclear? Sure, fine. But holy shit what do these people OWE YOU?How fucking entitled do you have to be to explore an infinite universe in a spaceship and then say "yeah but..."We should all be fucking weeping in our chairs right now at the sheer size and scale of the achievement. We should be showering the people behind this thing with the praise they deserve for pulling off one of the most inspiring games in recent memory.Hello Games doesn't owe you the world. Yet they gave you 18 QUINTILLION of them.If you have the fucking audacity to complain about it then you don't deserve it and you were never fans in the first place.
So have HG actually said anything since release or have they just been silent?
Quote from: BaconShelf on August 28, 2016, 07:10:25 AMSo have HG actually said anything since release or have they just been silent? they've talked a ton about fixing bugs on steam/Twitter ect but nothing about the games actual quality or content
You know you fucked up when PlayStation, steam, and amazon are all offering refunds no questions asked lol
Also this is a studio of what, 15 people? The games they made before were completely unheard of. This is their first big rodeo, (one that probably shouldn't of been made out to be so big) and if it wasn't for the misinformation this is still one hell of a game in that they've broken a new boundary in gaming as far as scale and the programming behind it goes. Sony came in and slapped a $60 label on an indie game, and they had to do what they could to make themselves look like a $60 game even though it wasn't. Something like $30 is perfectly acceptable for an indie game like this, and while lying to make something look better than it is isn't a great thing to do, they don't deserve as much hate they've been getting considering other much larger studios do the same thing on a regular basis and don't get nearly as much slack for it. This game has a hell of a lot of potential, and the chances of new stuff getting patched in is probably gone now thanks to the rageboner circlejerking. You guys are acting like Hello Games was supposed to be the savior of gaming. It's a fucking indie game studio.

So apparently the guys on twitch who went to the same place didnt meet because of different servers which makes sense but murray really should have said it's not possible or explain the situation. This "we'll be quiet and hope it goes away" attitude is terrible
