This is probably the first PS4 exclusive to grab my attention, I want a good superhero game and the art style is great with devs I like behind it

They all lacked inspiration, and the company that's been in charge since God knows when (Beenox) was clearly running out of steam.

I've heard good things about Web of Shadows and Ultimate Spider-man but they all lacked the punch and praise SP2 had.

Shattered Dimensions and TASM1 were half-way decent but lacked the funding and support necessary to make a really good game.

I'm hoping Insomniac gets this right. We NEED a good Spidey game.

Ratchet and Clank PS4 came out like 2 months ago. Sunset Overdrive got lots of coverage. Song of the Deep is all over Gamestop.

This is pretty cool. I've been wanting a Spider-Man game or any superhero game for the matter that is on par with Spider-Man 2 for a long time now.

I never understood why people liked Spiderman 2 so much. I was much much younger when I played it, but still. Maybe I need to read up on it. The only ones I actually liked were Spiderman (the PS1 version) and Ultimate Spiderman. The one with comic book style looking graphics. And maybe Spiderman 2 Enter Electro on PS1.

All of the games since Spider-Man 2 have been irrelevant. I really hope Insomniac will make a game to match the Arkham series' quality.

Apparently, the guy who engineered the web swinging in 2 patented the physics algorithm and that is one of the reasons why swinging has sucked. He used it for a small game he made called Energy Hook, which did horrible.

The number of features were also heavily gimped. No
-Hold to press jump/lunge
-No sprint/fast crawl
-Wall running has just now made a return
-Spider-sense dodging hasnt been the same
-non existent humor
-No fun side missions (my balloon!)
-No gymnastics
-No fun grapples/pile driving criminals off the empire state building
-etc etc.
