it'll get harder later on on normal, but i too felt that the start of the game was a bit too easy.

there are a bunch of other weapons in the game too, you just have to either find or buy them.

Yeah you can get quite a bit of XP and a lot of consumables from corpses. Why aren't you playing on PC?
