I'm going to see if I can get one for Christmas. I prefer wireless but I can live with it if it's wired. Also something somewhat affordable.

You will find out who you are not a thousand times, before you ever discover who you are. I hope you find peace in yourself and learn to love instead of hate.

For gaming, its all about the wired ones. Wireless has lagtime that you wont want to have. I recommend this: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G400s-910-003589-Optical-Gaming/dp/B00BCEK2LA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1417819763&sr=8-1&keywords=logitec+g400

First, never get a wireless one. They're usually a pain with needing to be charged and they almost always have more input lag than wired mice. And the ones that don't have a slower response rate are always a lot more expensive. They're not really worth it.

What kind of gaming mouse are you thinking of? Something simple and classic, something with a few more buttons and settings, or something with like 20 buttons and macros on there for MMO's and whatnot?

And what do you consider "somewhat affordable"? You'll find gaming mice for anywhere between 30$ to into the 100's. Gotta be a bit more specific than that.
Right now I have a cheap wireless Microsoft mouse. I've never used a wired mouse for gaming so I figured that I wouldn't really notice any input lag. The reason I like wireless ones is because they look cleaner.

I want something with the extra buttons on the side. I was looking at the Razer Naga but I wanted to see what other good brands there are out there. As for price, I would say somewhere between $50 and $90.

For the occasional big mmo I have a wired razer naga I love. (not my photo)

Pros
-Very ergonomic
-Plenty of buttons
-Zero issues over multiple years

Cons
-Pricey

Also have a wireless Cobra E-blue that was super cheap and is pretty great for the price. Not as comfortable or high quality obviously, but it gets the job done. Might be worth checking some others out in that brand.

Perixx MX-3000 is pretty good, plus it's really cheap.

Spoiler

but if you REALLY want something ergonomic and intuitive, then you HAVE to get the Apple Magic Mouse.

My Razer Deathadder has served me quite well.
I use this as well. Feels amazing to use too. I won't go for another mouse unless it feels as good.
