Very, very interesting. I've been hoping for a new non-covenant species for a while now. The idea of fringe species also hints at another recently confirmed 'addition' to the lore- or rather the confirmation of a speculated species in Halo 2's Conversations of The Universe; the Drinol.

So what are your thoughts?
