Having a human-sequel shape is fine, but it needs to be distorted more. The covenant are a tad more probably, with each having their own gate and facial structures. The only exception were the forerunners, who are the sort of alien cousins of humans.

The Covenant Fringe were just that, a fringe. In the FoR it was theorized that the reason the covies weren't going ham on humanity even though they easily could have was because most of their forces were actually diverted to fighting a war against a competing alien empire. I was just stating that it would be cool if that theory was actually true and there was a competing alien empire that was now able to push through covenent controlled space and interact with both the UNSC and the now broken covenant.

Looks interesting, so these guys work for the covenant?
