Bloodborne looked nice but it wasn't Dark Souls. Needs more Tomb of the Giants and Sen's.

Guys you aren't allowed to make observations about a games art style based on the trailer because there was barely any gameplay
Allowed?
If the trailer is rendered in-game I can certainly make comments about the art-style, considering that's what's behind the aesthetic of the areas being shown. I can't make meaningful comments about how the mechanics will function or if they'll be successful, however.
And I know this might not be the only type of area in the game, I'm just making comments from what I've seen.

Combat looks good (and sounds great too, going by the reports of those who got to see the game at E3 and noted how similar it was to DS1), setting looks very meh. I only got to see Bloodborne on videos and streams, but it had the most boring and least memorable atmosphere / art style of all the souls games. And this looks a lot like Yharnam 2.0, unfortunately.
hopefully this is just one area they're showing. I really enjoyed blood borne and it had some great boss fights and super memorial moments, but none of the areas were particularly inspiring. I don't mind one gothic castle city area ( anor lando, dranglaic castle, central yahrnam)
But I REALLY don't want another whole game of it

It was more memorable than most of Dark Souls 2's stuff. I can only name a handful of places in DS2 that really stood out.

Agreed. The same goes for NPC's as well.

Opinions there Luci.

So, I'm sure its just an area they're really showing off, because, unlike bloodborne, Dark souls had different areas on both games that looked a lot different. Or at least felt different.

I could never get into Bloodborne sadly. :/

Bloodborne had a fuckload of diversity, especially considering the progression of the night and new enemies and NPCs as the story progressed. The intricate maze of Central Yharnam's claustrophobic streets and sewers was massively different from the chaotic, sprawling forest, not to mention optional areas like the Nightmare Frontier with drastically different scenery, atmosphere, enemies, and environmental traps all around. I still think Blighttown is one of the best levels of any game I've played and something as challenging and varied as that was missed in BB, but you can't say there wasn't a huge array of locations varying in palette and aesthetic design.

His eyebrows sparkling, his white beard hangs down to his chest. The thatched mats, spread outside his chise, spread softly, his splendid attos. He polishes, cross-legged, his makiri, with his eyes completely absorbed.

He is Ainu.

The god of Ainu Mosir, Ae-Oine Kamuy, descendant of Okiku-Rumi, He perishes, a living corpse. The summers day, the white sunlight, unabrushed, ends simply through his breath alone.
I'm kind of hoping that was Anor Londo: Electric Bugaloo and the stages will be more diverse.

What? I liked Bloodborne, but that doesn't mean the aesthetic will apply anywhere. Bloodborne is Victorian, Dark Souls is the dark ages.

Opinions there Luci.
Yes, and those opinions are the general consensus the game has received. Don't say "opinions Luci" like it somehow lessens the point I was making, because it most certainly does not. That counter is one of the most tried and bland comebacks I know of, because it seems people cannot counter back with much of anything.

Wanna know the areas I think are great? Lost Bastile, Iron Keep (even if it's located in an unrealistic place), Drangleic Castle, Shrine of Amana, and Dragon Aerie/Shrine.

Everywhere else felt like uninspired crap that was there simply to be there.

NPC wise, none of them are dynamic at all as compared to the first one, because unlike the first one, these NPC's stay in the same place all the time, have no motivations of their own, and most are stagnant. A prime example is the daughter of the Blacksmith and the Blacksmith. They're only 15 feet away from each other, yet the entire game they don't know one is related to the other, even WHEN saying "I think that looks like me dad, m8."

You're telling me she never even bothers to go check? Or the Blacksmith go say hello to her because HE REALIZES IT IS HER!  No, the only NPC's you can argue had any depth to them is Lucatiel because of her story, Pate/Creighton, and Licia. THAT IS IT. No other NPC has their own goals, goes anywhere, or does anything.

As for level design, well, shortcuts are none existent with any real meaning. Lost Bastile is probably the only place that has it. The perfect example would be Huntsman's Corpse and that tree. Sure you can knock it down for a shortcut, but it doesn't fucking matter since there is a BONFIRE RIGHT NEXT TO IT, AND SINCE YOU CAN TELEPORT TO EVERY ONE, IT IS USELESS!

I could go on a list of other complaints, but I don't want to make this post too long. Simple fact of the matter is, without Miyazaki it has been shown that it lacks any of the passion or creativity behind it.

Stay tuned for next time when Luciana goes on a rant about the bosses in Dark Souls 2 and how they're about as diverse and interesting as Hitler Youth.

i hope they learned from DKS2 and BB. i liked BB's proactive combat system and i hope they can integrate that well with the reactive system that DKS1 did so well. i also hope they dont add static difficulty filters like in DKS2, but instead allow the fights to be more dynamic to go well with revamped combat.

Those two kind of conflict though. Dark Souls is more about defensive reacting, where as BB is more about offensive reacting.

I don't want BB's super fast paced, jumping everywhere combat in Dark Souls. If it is, then it's not Dark Souls.

from what I've read (the super short e3 articles) If you duel wield or use a bow you can play like bloodborne

If you want to tank and spank you can use a shield like good ole fashion dark souls
