Because if it isn't, I might have a look into it.Yes. Yes. Yes.Revengeance is the furthest thing you could get from Metal Gear.Like if you have a 360, get the HD Collection.Ah.Because ever since watching that, it pretty much turned me off metal gear. I'm not a big fan of the japanese thing of having people wielding swords the size of helicopter blades flying through the air. I like stuff that takes itself more seriously.I might look into getting the HD collection once XB1 gets backwards compatibility. I'm planning on having another go at dark souls at some point.

Revengeance looked... over the top, I guess. just ridiculous. I can get past some janky gameplay for a cool plot. I still happily play mass effect 1, after all. Thanks for the advice ^ ^

Rising is fun.It's silly fun.

Those kind of games are their thing.Ah. In regards to the playstation thing. They're making a shit ton of titles available on launch of the program. It's a 360 emulator rather than a MCC style port; they said the hardest bit is getting the license to port the games. So hopefully they'll be ported. I'm planning on selling my 360 when the compatability is out as the only games I still play on it are my RPGs. Are there many for the PS2? I still have one of those and PS2 games are dirt cheap now.
Quote from: BaconShelf on August 20, 2015, 02:59:14 PM-You can play MGS1, MGS2 and MGS3 on PS2. If you play them on PS2, be sure to get the Subsistence version of MGS3, because that version has MG1 and MG2 (the original MSX2 Metal Gear games) bundled in it.

I'm not a big fan of the japanese thing of having people wielding swords the size of helicopter blades flying through the air.Oh, I concur. I'm not the biggest fan of Japanese culture (or, modern Japanese culture) but Metal Gear is certainly not weeb shit, if that's what you're thinking.I mean, it definitely has it's Eastern influences (the translation, the writing style and the MGS4) but I've always seen Kojima as a backwards weeb: he's a Jap that's infatuated with Western culture. I think the mix is absolutely perfect. As Lemon said, the complete experience is on PS3. But MGS1 can be emulated flawlessly on a computer (I think it's actually better this way, the keyboard is better suited to it's retro gameplay) and MGS4 can be skipped entirely (though that's controversial in itself. Basically, MGS4 is the Halo 3 of MGS: overrated by nostaligafags.) As for MGSV, it's on X1, so. . .

To be honest you could just start playing at Ground Zeroes and still enjoy yourself. TPP is going to be a blast, and Kojima said new fans won't be left behind, due to flashbacks and stuff.I mean, it's a gameplay heavy game, so even if you don't get the story, we can explain it on Sep7agon and you can still enjoy the masterful gameplay.

I might get a PS3 at some point then
FUCK I knew I should have got it on my account while it was free
I might get a PS3 at some point thenthere's a couple games I want to play, and I'm guessing PS3's are relatively cheap now.
Aside from MG, I want to play Killzone, Last of Us (Shut up I think it looks cool) and Shadow of the Colosus HD port.
Quote from: Solid Lemon on August 20, 2015, 03:10:41 PMI know there's an easter egg where photos of the developers are there in frames on a wall or something

You definitely should get one, if not for the complete MGS experience, then for the other franchises you missed.QuoteAside from MG, I want to play Killzone, Last of Us (Shut up I think it looks cool) and Shadow of the Colosus HD port.?TLoU is a fantastic game. Nobody is judging you for it.

Too overpriced.

Don't think it is. I think that was last month's game. I'll have a look now. I have something else I need to do on xbox anyway...
wtf is going on in that last image?
Like, the comical stuff is done in a way that doesn't necessarily force itself and feel that out of place.
whenever it's mentioned, I always see it referred to as ladder simulator and shit
