I got GZ to 100% in like 3 days. I watch the trailers every day. I give my Punished Snake figure a new pose every day. My brain can't handle the thought of it being nearly out. I CAN'T WAIT.

That's why I always tell people to play a game for 5 hours -- really try to get good at it (look up tips on the internet and stuff), and if you still don't like it after that, stop playing.

halo 3's story was laughably bad (what little story it had)
but reach is still the worst
halo 4 has one of the better ones

Implying any of the Halo games really have amazing storytelling. Halo 2 was the only one bungie did that was great

and Halo 4's was okay bar the ending, but the gameplay itself was shit.

Halo 2 was good, minus he shit pacing and ending. ODST is the best one Bungie did, and that was by a small team.

Halo 4's ending was fine. It's only shit if you ignore one of the main story elements in Halo 4.
And the gameplay isn't even bad, like, at all. It's very well polished, and the most solid gameplay in the series so far at its core.
There's obviously issues with it like flinch, as there is issues with every game ever, but that's it.

You must have never played a truly bad game with gameplay that's actually bad.

It was a few times. You're exaggerating quite a bit.
Nearly every Halo games have had you press a button to advance, yet in Halo 4 it's treated as though it's a brand new concept. Literally the only difference is that in H4 you actually see Chief physically interact with whatever it is.

The pacing of the game is fairly consistent too.
