Mario Kart suffers from an intense case of "RNG bullshit". MK8 is just more noticeable because [I think] you have a higher chance of getting a shell, especially a blue one.

Every other iteration of the game was actually good and didn't feel like random nonsensical shit. The WiiU version has only 1 BS mechanic and that is the "Crazy 8" item that gives you everything to win the game except for a blue shell. The Wii on the other hand has some of the most BS items in the game. Recovery time in the Wii version of the game was ridiculously long and in every other iteration it was just about a second or less. The Wii version takes someone about 4 seconds to be able to move after getting hit which is pretty much a lost game after getting hit in first place.

It doesn't always happen all at once, but I've seen some fat horseshit in most Mario Kart games.
No, I've played Double Dash, and felt the same way.*shrug*And 64.

If people want to play Mario Kart without items they can do so. They can also choose a more competitive friendly item set too.

This almost feels enlightening in the sense that for the first time on this subject, I completely agree with Verb; there's not much of a point in gold staring the game if you turn off half of the options. If it's there, then it should be played that way even if I go bald because of it.

I always play my games at default as often as possible but I know that I could never play SSB with all items enabled because of how I personally enjoy the game. What I hate is when people say a game is bad because of the default options not being to their liking. If they want to play a game that isn't their style then they shouldn't complain about the game not being to their liking.

I missed that post, my mistake. Even still, nobody's really given reasons for why you should put up with the shit RNG the games have had in the past decade.
Quote from: Latsu on January 08, 2015, 05:37:35 PMI forgot you were a Nintendo hater. Don't see why I bothered trying.Verb has (I believe) every Nintendo console in existence and Super Metroid is his favorite game of all time. Verby don't give a shit who published the game, if he doesn't like it, he doesn't like it.
