If anything all you do is make the thing harder to kill. The driver can be firing at targets behind him and the machine gunner would be firing at targets in front of him. If anything the tank was more balanced when it had that gun. The reason why is because the gun would be also controlled by the driver. So instead of having the tank having the ability to do what I said above. It would only be able to attack targets that the driver is facing. So the front of the tank or whatever direction the cannon is not pointing at would be defenseless.

I guess it meant you could snipe the turret operator out and limit it's effectiveness but still it doesn't really do much.

Because they knew no-one would ever use a secondary gun on a tank and it would just leave the driver with a HE turret.

Lack of use.
Why would that justify getting rid of it? The machine gun turret hardly gets used and that's still there.

It's still nice to have the thing when the cannon is reloading. It's bullshit that you have to sit there and take damge from a target that could have been killed by the machine gun. It would have also been useful in the campaign. You can use the thing with the cannon while you're firing at phantoms.

They did by nerfing the speed. Taking the machine gun out along with the speed decrease is just dumb. It should have been one or the other. Either have the speed without it or have the thing without the speed.

In BF1942 the machine guns do that. You fire so many rounds and then the thing cools down. That's what Bungie should have done. It's amazing how much little though went into their games.

I know. Bf1942 is a 2001 or 2 game. So you would think someone at Bungie would have played it and took ideas from it.
