I would at least expect however, the game to autosave during precise moments within gameplay, not 3 hours before I even started the fucking quest. This has been an imperative features for games since, well, I can remember actually playing games. Don't think I've ever encountered an RPG that didn't have the most basic of autosaves.

I didn't even get hit because i'm capable of using the left trigger and B button, are you?And yes, he's got a strong swing but what were you wearing? Rags? If you have even semi-decent armour you should be able to survive two hits easy. Or at least you should use Quen
