Would bang.

I'd murder that thing if it ever tried to touch my dick.

Spoiler
That's right. I'm actually stronger than The Chief in this sense. I would do what Master Chief failed to do. Kill it in a matter of seconds.
Okay, go ahead and try to kill that living god with your fists. Good luck.

Spoiler
Actually, apparently, the Chief has "killed" the Didact via an entire sector of a Halo falling on him and exploding on top of another planet. Yep, it takes a super-nuke to kill the Didact. Even then, the Chief believes that Didact to just be defeated and not dead.

I'm a developer. I can just remove it's AI code and enable damage triggers and shoot at it to the point where he can't do jack. Woot! ^_^

Spoiler
I heard rumor that the bastard will be back in Halo 5 Guardians though. Honestly Gravemind was more intimidating than he is.
I really liked the Didact, he was awesome. I see no issue with him aside from having as much screentime as Venom in Spider-Man 3.

I'm not going to like. Whenever people said The Didact in that game when I first played it, I couldn't help but laugh at it. I was laughing at it, in a bad way.

Same goes with the character. It's not even threatening! Doesn't even look threatening at least!
Then you have to blame Bungie for introducing the term Didact in the series. And then you have to blame Greg Bear for making him a literal god who is split into two. If you can't see the power he holds, just by himself, then you don't know Halo.

The Didact could've killed the Master Chief on spot, he didn't because he is a crazy sadist against humans (Thanks to the Gravemind mindraping him in the books) and wanted the Chief to die slowly. He even killed an entire Spartan-II team, Black Team, by his bare hands. He is extremely intimidating because not even the best of the best of the Spartans can even dent him, the Chief was really lucky by beating him (Cortana's death and the monitor's help on dropping a Halo on top of the Didact).

But yes, in the grander scheme, the Gravemind is waaaaay more intimidating than the Didact because...well...he is the Gravemind.

I'm sorry, it's just the build up for this character.... it did not fit in well when 343 took over.

At least in my opinion it didn't.
His build-up is in the Forerunner Saga and in the Terminals.

I know! What I meant by that is that it is not what I expected a Didact to look like.
Then that's a different complaint all together, his character is not at fault but the art department. Not crazy and uncorrupted Didact looks cool though.

Same reason why Grievous was fracking pathetic in Episode III, but in the books and TV series leading up to it he was the epitome of badass. It's still a problem, even if the other media treats him right.

This is why it's important to have an exceptional concept artist on the team.

If you ask me he looks like the new grunt design in Halo 4, only scaled up by a notch with a different body, but the head I swear is the game.

"flaming nipple chops"-Your host, the man they call Ghost.

To say, 'nothing is true', is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shepherds of our own civilization. To say, 'everything is permitted', is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious or tragic.

That, and having quality dialogue/conversations/scenes with the character to build them up as a villain in the game. You can't just go, "*pop* Hey guys! Here's your new antagonist for the game!", just no. Sure, he says some lines during missions, but they're really forgettable, I can't remember anything other than something like "Why do you persist?", which has nothing on Gravemind's lines and just doesn't make me think of him as imposing or threatening, all he does for the whole game is hide from you in a floating ball.

I know right? Not to mention at the very end of the game, it's hardly a fight. It's like the very last COD levels. Nothing but an interactive cutscene.

I haven't played CoD since BlOps, but even though the last few games leading up to it had interactive cutscene endings, at least they had the right touch and atmosphere. Like, you better be lying if you say you didn't think MW2's ending was pretty freaking awesome the first time you played it.

Same reason why Grievous was fracking pathetic in Episode III, but in the books and TV series leading up to it he was the epitome of badass. It's still a problem, even if the other media treats him right.

This is why it's important to have an exceptional concept artist on the team.

Reported for derailing thread about sexy video game characters with a Halo lore discussion.

Tharja a shit.

She's only liked by beta males who want someone to love them obsessively and unconditionally.

Lucina is a strong woman capable of being your equal and therefore is much better suited to being a life long partner.

That's technically pedophilia anyways since she's from the future.  ;D

Spoken like someone who never bothered to get to know her.

Also her future self (the one I've been posting) is over 18 by the time the game ends.

If you're into 'muh strong womyn' type then even Panne is hotter. Plus you get the bonus of rabbit girl sex.  :o
And you feel good about saving a species.  Tho her kid ends up being a wimp.

I'm not a furry or into grannies though. Plus  there's more to being strong than "muh muscles an I h8 everbudy".  Also panne is kind of lacking in the brains department.

Make way for best family.
