i was under the impression that the gen 2 armor makes up for the augmentations the spartan IVs receivethen again a II could just wear gen 2 as for the program itself, it's a compromise between quantity and quality, most if not all of the IVs were odsts and have seen their fair share of shet, still no match for the past iterations individually

muh childrenReally, if these humans are going to get all mad that a few hundred kids were stolen then they're ignorant motherfuckers. The entire race was on the thread for extinction and they can't be grateful a few had to be sacrificed for the greater good of the race

I thought the S-III's were volunteers who consented to be sent on important but suicidal missions, no? It's been a while since I looked into Halo lore though.

QuoteSpartan IIs and Spartan IIIs true Spartans. How? The majority of the people you are using as Spartans for the Spartan 2 program become casualties from the augmentations. With the Spartan 3 program you're still using kids which takes them longer to train. With soldiers volunteering to be Spartans you have a near limitless amount of people and it takes them less longer to become Spartans than it would with kids.

The difference is that they weren't picked based upon their genetics.S-IIs were children with the best genes, whereas S-IIIs were just any kind of kid.
