I'm thinking about doing it. It's looking like it might be replacing the old 3DS XL, plus it's going to be getting extra features and exclusive games that the old XL wont get.
I'm refusing to buy the XL, mainly because IMO the XL is WAY too big for me.

Yes. There's the second analog stick which means you don't have to get that retarded attachment for games that uses it. And there are going to be games that are only for that version. For example Xenoblade Chronicles is coming out for that version but not the current 3DS models.

Are they bringing one of those out every year now or something?I swear I'm seeing 'new 3ds' all the time or something. It's getting like fucking apple.

Console's had a five year run, and the N3DS is more like a DSi than a new entry: it's a 3DS with a few games that can run only on it. They'll still be making 3DS games after this, so unless some N3DS games come out that you just have to have or you want a second analog stick, there's no point in upgrading.

Kind of related. Is the WiiU worth it? I want it primarily for the Metroid digital trilogy bundle that was recently announced. I only played Metroid Prime on the Gamecube over a decade ago and never finished it. I just have some questions:Is there a decent selection of retro games available in the Nintendo eShop? What is using that control with a built in screen like? Is it just a secondary screen for menus and items, or can I take it into a separate room and play Metroid on it? How big is the Hard Drive? I would probably get most games digitally. Is the pro controller worth the price? Is it worth getting it for just Smash, Metroid, and potentially Mario Kart? I won't be playing locally with anyone, it would mainly be for solo gaming.

Call me a pessimist, but I mean, I really wouldn't put it past them to pull that kind of shit.
