What's the problem with Bethesda making another Fallout? Fallout 3 was a fantastic game, so was New Vegas. It's the same problem people have with Skyrim. Sure they got rid of features but at the end of the day it's still an enjoyable game.

Fallout 3 wasn't shit. I mean, NV was a lot better (as it should be since it's a sequel), but Fallout 3 revived a series that was otherwise dead in the water, and got a lot of people, including myself, into the amazing universe.

Sure they didn't do everything right, but it was still FUN to play for its time. A game that is absolute shit would be Assassins Creed Unity.

I do agree though that I want it to be made by Obsidian.
There will likely not be another Fallout made by Obsidian. I think we can all agree that Fallout 3 is better than New Vegas by the way.

Obsidian and Bethesda kinda have some negative feelings towards each other.

After I played Fallout 1 and 2, I preferred NV far more than 3 since it went more in depth with gameplay mechanics (as a sequel should. I don't think that harms Fallout 3's argument) and the story they had.

However I still enjoy Fallout 3. Honestly I think the hate it gets is rather silly in the grand scheme of things. People forget it revived the series and wasn't that bad. I guarantee you anyway who played it when it was first around and beat it and all that didn't sit there and say "THIS SUCKS!"

then go to NV and go "THIS IS AMAZING!"

I think opinions changed over time.

Now see, this one I feel should be defended. My argument on it is of course it wouldn't, because it takes place 2000 miles to the east. I appreciate the direction change since every other Fallout was in California/Nevada (NV), so I think of course there wouldn't be as much related. Though the Enclave from Fallout 2 running over and popping up in 3 was cool, though those guys were just evil.

Fallout 3 actually had a world I cared about exploring. It had such an amazing and lonely atmosphere. There were so many random areas to explore that were actually interesting.

In New Vegas, I enjoyed exploring, but everything felt the same. Everywhere I go I am going to run into some NCR soldiers. The area felt pretty small because of how spread out the NCR was.

The mechanics and story was so much better in New Vegas though, the companions all felt like real people worth caring about, unlike 3 where they were all blander then John Cena.

Well, obviously. Fallout 3 revived an otherwise dead series, and brought it into a new world. New Vegas expanded upon and improved what Bethesda had already done. Obviously a sequel is going to have improvements to gameplay.

My thoughts exactly. I don't know why people make it out to be some competition.

That's not how it would have been if Bethesda made the next Fallout game after 3. Fallout 4 will be more dumbed down then New Vegas or 3, you can tell that because of how Besthesda has been treating the Elder Scrolls series.

I do not know how to respond to this. I know the cool thing to do is to hate on popular things that are good, like Bethesda, but you do not have to join the little kiddies who are trying to be cool. You can have your own opinions and actually enjoy things that are good, like Bethesda's games.

I liked Oblivion, Morrowind and Fallout 3 though

I just think Bethesda are going down a very bad path of dumbing things down.

I'm not talking about location. With New Vegas it makes references to the games by people, weapons and dialog. Fallout 3 on the other hand doesn't. It simply is based off of the lore and doesn't reference the things NV does. The only reference that I know of that game does is Harold.

Fallout 3 has a shit load of plot holes, there's hardly any choices to it, the characters have hardly any development to them. Nearly everyone is the same. For the followers the only differences between them is what they look like and their abilities. The human followers may as well have the same skin. With NV there's a lot of depth to it and choices. With the followers each one has their own back story and quests for them.

Only if you mod it and even then it's still soulless. The game has shit for depth. For example every guild has the exact same setup. You join, something happens and you become the leader of it now matter what your stats are. There's no multiple endings or quests that have endings depending on your stats or choices. For the default game you're stuck with the piss poor combat system and the shiity systems they have in place that either dumb it down to shit or just ruin it.
