Some didn't make it to the states, so they kept it going in the order we got it in the states until 7 came out and realigned them all.

The ones that get the most praise are (and going in the actual order) 6, 7, and 10. Though personally my favorites are 4 and 7.

Ehhh I enjoyed the story. It was a great game and I'm playing through it again (HD remake on PS4) and enjoying it to the fullest.

But to say it is the best FF and not acknowledge its flaws is a little silly.

Playing through the HD version as well, and enjoying it. Wouldn't call it the best FF by a long shot, but its good.
But if I had the option to kill Tidus in a brutally gory manner I'd take it.

Yes. No one really calls it III anymore since they normalized the version numbers in the west.
VI usually gets the most praise from what I've seen. Followed closely by VII.

FF Tactics series never gets enough love imo. Ivalice Alliance ftw.

Eh, I've only played X, Tactics Advance and about an hour of FF12. Definetely prefer X. I like the characters, story and music and pretty much everything except Blitzball. The laughing scene gets a lot of hate, but I dunno if people realize that Tidus and Yuna actually were forcing it because they needed some happiness. After the forced bit it turned into real laughter.
