I just beat Rom in Bloodborne (boss spoilers, that's it)

Holy balls, that was the most frustrating fight at first then towards the end it became relatively simple, just stay close enough to bait the AOE attacks. It's flying crystal dildo attacks cause me so much fucking grief though. Took me two hours....

How did you find the battle, hard or easy?

A friend of mine had the opposite experience. It was a cakewalk until the last 1/3 of health (the spiders basically just stood there), then he got killed in two hits by something.

Hard until I decided to just ignore the spiders. When I ignored the spiders it was just run in with the Holy blade, roll back when he goes for AOE, and then sprint back in and repeat.

I tried ignoring the spiders but that kept getting me killed. I stayed close enough to him to bait his AoE attack but carefully taking out the spiders 1 by 1.
