it's not--most competitive players think it's stupid, and i think it's actually banned in some tournaments
or, they make you stop after a certain percentage

it's way harder to perform than it looks, though, which is why i think it's kept around

Wow, a Mewtwo is in Winner's side of Grand Finals in a major.

Who would've thought?

It's only inherently complex in Brawl. Melee wobbling is a simple matter of down tilting at 200 bpm to make it inescapable. IIRC wobbling past 150% counts as stalling and results in a DQ but I've seen tourney footage of people going close to 200% without repercussions.

yeah, but you have to grab your opponent first

which isn't the easiest thing in the world with icies, especially at high level play

But yeah, I don't really like it, any high level match you see involving an IC duo is played extremely cautiously with very few attacks thrown out and stage control almost always given to the IC player. It's still often entertaining to watch but the games progress so much slower for the person trying not to get grabbed.

Past 300% is stalling. A guy at mcmansion actually took a selfie with his friends while he was being wobbled.

So I got 9th for the 3rd time in a row, this time in Tallahassee. Barely lost to the campiest kirby player I've ever seen in winners second round. Almost timed him out game 2 but landed an upsmash to win, so I  won either way. Then game 3 last stock kill percent for both on battlefield, died from an up throw on the platforms of course. So I got sent to losers. One thing I can appreciate in Tallahassee is the variety of characters. I actually fought a palutena and a toon link.

Steamrolled over 5 people in Losers, then played and lost to Mr. Bones, a great bowser player from Georgia.

Got 4th in doubles with Booty Poppin, whom I've never partnered with.

And oh yeah a $264 speeding ticket wooh

Went to what was meant to be a weekly tournament last night. 2 other players showed up and the TO had us playing 3 player Smash on random Omega stages the entire time. We ended up ditching early and going back to their place for some doubles and 1v1s, and a bit of melee after that. Geez Melee makes you think a lot more about following up your attacks compared to Sm4sh, and you need to be more precise with your inputs too. It was good fun. Definitely going to be practicing my tech when I get my own copies of each game.

If you're facing off against a kirby nigga better pray you get to ban 2 stages, because an up throw beneath the platforms on Duck Hunt or battlefield at high % is game ogre. Sounds like good variety tho fam. Also stop treating the roads like a race track you delinquent.

Bayonetta has been banned in the Spanish Smash community.

YouTube

This could lead to a domino effect.

Okay, the ban isn't official yet.

I'd actually rather not see her banned at all, to be honest. From a spectator's perspective, I think it would be much cooler to watch players like Zero overcome her with Sheik. Like, imagine Zero taking it over some rando Bayonetta player at Evo. It would be the hypest shit.

This was the first tournament I went to where Lylat was legal, and I never really played on it so I avoided it and Duck hunt due to that tree and dying early from an up throw. We gentlemanned to Smashville because "startersville", I won on town and city since he banned FD, then he took me to dreamland.

I was so close to winning game 3 though, one good move from either of us would have ended it.

is Zero Suits Down-throw into F-air not a true combo anymore. I was trying her out and I cant seem to land it outside of training. Everything just seems to DI out of it.

It requires DI read to pull off nowadays, but her off stage and aerial combo game (especially on Battlefield and Dreamland) is pure bullshit if you can get a string going. KOs happen almost as early as Bayonetta, with even less risk/greater ease.

Why do bayonetta defenders always resort to personal attacks rather than giving reasons?
To be fair they did eventually give a few reasons, (which I don't really agree with 100%) but not after calling me a baby about 600 times.

Can I practice with real people please. I'm sick of getting cheated by randys in For Inputlag.
I mean for god's sake is it too much to ask to play against people who arent siphoning dial-up from the next galaxy over?

Anther's Ladder is probably your best option for local region games. Also all gaming communities are pure autism, smash is no exception. I try and stay away from Bayo discussions on other boards for fear I'll get shat on for pointing out that Witch time > Up tilt > Up air > infinite aerial chain > death combo is a stupid reward for the low risk.

by far the most retarded defense of Bayonetta that I see absolututely fucking everywhere is.
"Stop Complaining you voted for her"

1) No I didn't. I voted for Dark Samus. The Europeans voted for her.
2) Those who did vote for her voted for the character, not for a move-set that would break the game.
