Falcon's knee is almost like it was in Melee nowAs a casual Captain Falcon player can you explain that for dummies?
so like, you know how difficult it was to land the sweetspot on the knee of justice (falcon's forward air)?
basically, in melee, it was WAY easier, to the point where you could even combo it into itself, which was super flashy and ultra satisfying to watch (even the weak hit of the knee had its situational comboing purposes)
since brawl, they drastically nerfed it to the point where, in a way, instead of a powerful combo tool, it works more like a mini-Falcon Punch in the air, where it's a high-risk-high-reward move that asks a lot from your accuracy
it's two different ways of looking at the move, but i find the former a lot more fun
i've always jokingly described melee falcon as a spry, energetic, high-flying kind of guy who hit his midlife crisis and became a washed up old man in smash 4/brawl, because that's what he feels like to me
but in this new 3.1.0 patch that just dropped, they increased the size of the stronger hitbox, making it easier to sweetspot, and thereby a lot more fun to use
raptor boost (side+b) was also buffed significantly (among other things) to work more as intendedfor your interest, here are the patch notes
(dedede went untouched)
