What's the benefit of giving money away to people who did nothing to produce it?
They're pretty easy to find, actually, but whatever. Regardless of who gets the money, an emulator cannot emulate the experience of playing a genuine, physical copy of a game.
verb is probably one of those people who refuses to use a kindle because he "likes the way paper feels"
Though, once you get used to EV-training your 'Mons at 500% speed, it's hard to go back to regular gameplay.
Quote from: Revolver Snake on August 13, 2015, 12:31:17 PMThough, once you get used to EV-training your 'Mons at 500% speed, it's hard to go back to regular gameplay.See, that's just ruining the game at that point. Why even play if you can just guarantee success by speeding up the game (which is cheating)? Fuck that shit.
wat

How does that guarantee anything...?You still need to pick the right moves, breed the right Pokemon, face the right opponents...
Quote from: Revolver Snake on August 13, 2015, 12:59:06 PMHow does that guarantee anything...?You still need to pick the right moves, breed the right Pokemon, face the right opponents...If you're EV training while cheating (which you've conveniently ignored--you can't defend the fact that it's cheating), what the fuck do you do? Moderate yourself? At some point, you're gonna become overleveled, and you'll just be able to steamroll over everyone before you even reach Pewter fucking City.
I don't see how speeding up the game would make you any more over leveled than in if you just decided to train all that time.
If you want to be over leveled you can be over leveled, emulator or no
They're hard (expensive) to get new
Quote from: Revolver Snake on August 13, 2015, 12:31:17 PMThey're hard (expensive) to get newOn Amazon, you can get FireRed for $30 and Crystal for $25. They aren't that expensive, especially in comparison to other Nintendo games.

Why wouldn't you if you're just gonna cheat anyway?

I just don't care because it doesn't affect anyone.
No one wants to spend 5 hours grinding when they can spend 20 minutes instead.
You've admitted to doing Nuzlockes before, right? Same thing. You set limits and standards for yourself, too.
Because it's not fun, that's why.
I've become lost in my own thread. What is going on? What does an emulator even look like?
Quote from: Chakas on August 13, 2015, 01:26:44 PMI've become lost in my own thread. What is going on? What does an emulator even look like? It's virtual. It's a program that you download (illegally, I'll say again). It'll pop up on your computer screen as a window.

Emulators are illegal? Since when?
