But not for Halo 2 PC because that one was a pain in the ass to do with all the technical hoops I had to solve. Instead, I want to make a map for Custom Edition. Maybe even a map pack if I'm satisfied. The only question remains, do I really need to have an older version of 3DS Max installed? I'd go to the hce forum for this but I'm rather lost with which tools I need. I know I need the Halo Editing Kit installed, but is that all? Is there anymore?

Does anyone here have an idea?

I could have sworn there were other external tools needed, but if the editing kit has everything I need, aside from 3DS Max, then I'm good to go. I just need to find a free 3DS Max alternative that will work with this.

Maps that I made? Well.... There was going to be one if Windows 7 didn't crash on me for good when I was working on it. It was for Halo 2 PC.

I'll try to find screens of it later. It was almost complete.

IIRC, yelo allows the use of AI in Halo multiplayer.
Edit: sorry, I thought you were asking what they were when you said sauce.

Also, you should make Team Fortress 2 maps.

Also, you should make Team Fortress 2 maps.

I would if I knew how to use the Source SDK well but I don't. I'm barely getting the hang of learning Halo's stuff here. Also I don't really play TF2. I'm actually going to test out a .yelo map right now to see what's different from the regular .map files. This download shouldn't take long.

I'm not familiar with what you can do with yelo on PC, but I do know that on Halo 2 for Xbox, you could basically play multiplayer against the computer (or with the computer).

And I'm just saying to model a map off of TF2. Do 2-Fort; it's a symmetrical map that's good for CTF.

What's stopping me from ripping 2 fort from TF2 and retexturing the map on CE? And hasn't that pretty much been done already?

I'd actually want to make something original and simple. That's what I was doing on 3DS Max 7 for Halo 2 PC before my computer got fucked.
