Hype killed Destiny for #Density

After playing Destiny for a good 5 hours or so (and the Alpha/ Beta) I've come to an early conclusion that I enjoy the game.
I don't think it's bad nor do I think it's the "end all of vidya gamez 10/10 best game!!"

I think that people who got caught on the hype train will be disappointed *Coughs* #Density.
But I think for The Flood who has a "anti Destiny hype" culture it was almost like we were shielded from the expectations many people put on the game.
And personally I think that's why I can enjoy the game without being incredibly disappointed.

When I played the demo, *cough* Beta, I wasn't dissappointed. On it's own, it's a relatively solid game. Good for jumping in with friends and having some fun. It obviously has it's flaws, but honestly, with the way Bungle's been going down for a while now, this was an easy to see outcome to things.

It's not the second coming of jesus. But, on it's own when you have some friends to jump in with, it's fun. And, as always, Bungie hasn't lost their touch with creating environments and wonderful skyboxes to look at, even if they've gone and lost everything else and gone corporate Skynet drone on us.

I watched a walkthrough of the story, and have been thoroughly disappointed even with seemingly low standards.

Bungie does know how to reskin the same boss 10+ times very well, though.

Ugh I remember the calm before the storm when the newcomers hadn't arrived yet and everyone was excite for this new universe I actually used to spend time in the destiny forum

It was a very overhyped game, and of course it has its flaws. However Destiny is still a good, fun social game. The story may fall flat, but the gameplay and combat is pretty damn fun in my opinion. Who knows, maybe their main intent with this first/vanilla game was to make it a fun friendly environment before bringing out some badass expansions.

Okay, cool. Tons of people everywhere are unable to play at all because Bungie does not know how to handle a huge release, even after all of their experience with Halo.

Noelle, Halo's servers were set up COMPLETELY different to what Destiny's servers are, as Halo had no actual servers to handle, it was all p2p, Destiny is Bungie's first time running servers on this scale.

Its not a bad game. Ive just picked up today and played for a few hours and the download time wasnt that bad. I took a shower and came back. Done.

All together its an alright game. No story to speak of but im just a few levels in and have no one to play with. Ill post more the farther I get to the game.
