"Have you played a game that made you turn the system off withing minutes of first playing it?"

I ended up doing that with Star Ocean The Last hope when I first played it. The moment that pink haired loli popped on I turned off my 363 and went "What the fuck?". Even though I got the game 3 years ago I'm still trying to beat it. There's a lot of cringe worthy moments in that game.

Far Cry 2. I just can't. It hasn't aged well, especially after playing 3.

I got it from Gamefly for the very first time, and was excited to finally be able to play this game.  Shortly after leaving the prison, someone invades my world.  Me, of course being a noob, thought that I was getting a companion.  He appeared before me in his majestic, high-level armor with a giant intimidating weapon.

Naturally, I waved to this stranger, hoping that he was here to help me and not just notice me as a "noob" and leave.  Sadly, my inexperienced self did not realize that "Invading" meant "go into other people's worlds and rek their shit to the point where it's classified as rape."

I stared at my game, turned off my Xbox, and refused to touch Dark Souls for months.

Christmas day 2 years ago I got Halo ODST. It was my first Halo, and I ended up wandering around Mombasa at night trying to figure out what the hell was going on. After 15 minutes of getting lost and not figuring out what to do other than wander around, I turned it off, and went back to checking out my other presents.

I didn't play it again until summer this year, completed it in a few hours over 3 days. It wasn't bad, it was just so confusing at the time that I was practically averse to it.

final fantasy tactics advance. like, seriously? it'll take 5 god damn years to beat that game. i love turn based strategy but the combat pacing is just absolute shit.
