If you're decent it's also easy to counter, but the game gets really stale because it the entire game basically boils down to are you the rusher or the defender due to how easy and effective the hog rush is.

Pretty much, It'd be a lot more replayable if you had to include a strategy other than spam units, local units, all units and plow into their base.

Something like DoW where you have to figure out directions of attack and combined assaults rather than just drowning the enemy in mobs (although the orks do that very well) <.<
You can also do stuff like the Iron Curtain strategy with the IG, slowly creep across the map making defensive lines supported by endless artillery barrages e.e
