Long story short, he fell into a up space portal and got transported to installation 03. Here, he is then followed by Blue Team, and they manage to 'kill' him by detonating six composers and detaching a section of te ring, leaving it to fall into the gas giant it orbits.

But it is strongly implied, near enough stated, that he was composed.

I think they were Soldiers.

It looks like Jul's forces are fighting another faction, but who or what? I didn't see any UNSC ships in orbit and it can't be the Prometheans. Unless Kamchata has some for automated defenses.

The Prometheans aren't necessarily with the Covenant all the time

That is one of the main games that we play (he's given me reason on why that isn't realistic even while using ACE). 

Currently he's working his own universe for a sci-fi series and I feel like he is going far past overboard with the science. You can't really talk to him about any series.

The last 15 seconds are especially bad.  You can see the black female spartan slide across the screen to catch up to Locke after his roll, which once he starts running doesn't match the speed of the back ground.  Looks worse than Halo 4's prologue and epilogue.

I really didn't like that part were one of them seemed to have blasted through a giant rock, but other than that it was okay.

Something I will say though that I did enjoy about the opening sequence. In the first 21 seconds the track of music that plays...is an interesting choice.

It really seems to lay down a tone. Sort of a dark, melancholy sort of feel to it. It's heavy.
