So the reason why the Covenant remnant's armor and equipment looks different now is because they're surplus. If that is the case then why aren't we seeing any Covies wearing armor from Halo's Reach, 1, 2 and 3 which are using equipment from those games as well? Wouldn't left over equipment from Halo 3 be far more numerous since they were made more recently than the equipment the Covies are using now? If I walk into a surplus store I'm going to find more equipment from a war like Vietnam than WW2 due to Nam being more recent. The same thing should be applying for Halo 4 and 5.

Arbiter's Elites are canonically wearing Halo 2-Halo 3 armor like but because (((>Halo 5))) we don't actually get to see it. Fuck Halo 5's whole campaign, man.

I don't know or care much about any of this, but it seems to make sense. Big ship with big defenses can take a big beating. Smaller ships on the inside remain safe in the event of an attack until crew can board and get ready. Having them on the outside seems like it would make them highly vulnerable to missiles or bombing runs, as well as much more difficult and risky to board efficiently.

But their whole point is to be an escort fleet designed to defend the infinity, like how we have Carrier Escort Groups today. They're not doing anything while they're inside. Plus, if Infinity gets blown up (and boy, has it nearly been blown up before), they just go down as well.

If they're on the outside, or just escorting, they're contributing to point defense and decentralization of command. They're literally doing nothing like their intended role on the inside -if it were just a transport thing then I guess it would be okay but every time it's shown the fleet is deploying after engaging enemy forces. If one ship were to be destroyed, you've just clusterfucked your entire battlegroup because of the debris because they were unreasonably close together.

They would use the life boats like on TPoA and the frigates would be able to pick them up. Bacon is right about this, there wouldn't be enough time for the entire Infinity crew to board them and there wouldn't be enough time to deploy them all for a fight. When a force of Covie ships is pounding the Infinity all it takes is one lucky shot to hit in the area where the frigates are being deployed. That shot would disable the dropper and it could even result in one hell of a chain reaction if those ships go off.

The other thing to is that they would be extremely easy to be picked off when they're getting deployed. Only two at a time is being dropped, there's going to be a period of time for the next row to get in place and the frigates would have to have their engines off when their being dropped. So it's going to take them a little bit for them to get combat ready.

The best place for those ten frigates is to be around the infinity in an escort position. That way they would be able to pick up any lifeboats and they would already be assembled when a fight brakes out. It is pointless having ships like that for an extra defense when they're not even in space.

After replying the 343 level I realized that the video recording of the Marine group getting wiped out by the Flood is based off of the Marine group in Aliens. Both groups make their way through an empty structure and they reach their goal area which becomes their undoing.

Yeah in CE there's heaps of dialogue inspired by Aliens. I think the pop culture reference is a nice touch.

I'll probably play one game of social slayer on BC Halo 3 and quit because the 30 fps and the fact the game is so washed out compared to MCC Halo 3. To think people thought Halo 3 was a colourful bright game lol. The brightness is like night and day between the 360 Halo 3 and MCC Halo 3

Lord Jesus where do you people find these people? I remember playing big team with Deci a while back, and while the opponents were certainly bad, it wasn't anything even remotely like this.

Don't forget about John being more of a character rather than him being a walking brick like what he was in Bungie's Halo's. Every story aspect of Halo 4 ended up being for nothing due to the way 343 handled the story after that game.  The Didact was killed off in a comic and he wasn't mentioned once in Halo 5 nor was the composer, the Halo ring we seen in Halo 4 was nothing more than a background image, the guy we played as in Spartan OPS was supposed to be on Locke's generic and boring team which didn't happen and the elite villain from Spartan OPS ended up being killed off withing the start of Halo 5.

Halo 4 may as well be fan fiction due to every story aspect of it being forgotten or changed and Halo 5 being the start of this so called trilogy. For some odd reason 343 basically rebooted the trilogy with Halo 5 and it shows badly. You could literally remove Halo 4 from the trilogy and nothing would change due to how pointless that game is now story wise.

Halo 4 was the last game. The series was canceled due to the backlash from the multiplayer. It's sad to see the series end on a cliffhanger regarding Chief's development but at least the story went out on a high note, (if not a bittersweet one).
