Currently downloading the PC version. For anyone that downloaded it already: Is it a good port? (video options, controls, performance, etc.)

The controls are pretty much straight out of any 3D editor like Unity.  No performance issues on my GTX780.

Find a discord where people play, like the Halo reddit one or one on /v/, join the discord, give them your GT and play with them.

So I got the game for Xbox three days ago and I've played my first few Arena matches and got placed in Gold 3.

My God I've gotten back my competitive side I thought was lost long after Halo 3. Almost every game I either end up carrying my team in a loss or getting MVP in a win but God are these matches brutally close. I don't know what people are bitching about as far as the game overall because I'm having fun. Haven't touched the campaign though, too drawn in by Arena matches.

Competitive arena is the best in the series imo. Pity there's no Local support so LAN tournaments are a pain in the ass to set up. You'll be pretty happy with Halo 5 if you use it only for Competitive.

I played a single game of BTB CTF on Viking before I quit in the middle of the game because:

A: ANOTHER fucking Valhalla remake, God what a shitty fucking map.
B: Banshee is a flying whale of death with shields now, fuck that.
C: Garbage teammates.

I really wish they'd get rid of the poorly done forge maps in BTB.  Like Antifreeze and that terrible reimagined Longbow.

One of my favorite maps because of the Dune easter egg.

Sunday I tried out infection and well, I've found it to be shit after playing two games of it. The maps I find to be shit which makes any game type boring to me, the zombie filter I find to be annoying and somewhat hard to see and it's pointless for the zombies to have active camo when it brakes up when you move fast and that green gas effect gives you away, even with camo the effect is still active. Both games I ended up quitting which resulted in me getting a ban, so I uninstalled the game for good. 

I should be able to get time to play this week
