I never truly realised, but the final epilogue in Halo 4 is truly excellent-in fact it blows the other Halo's away significantly. On one hand you have the personal level of MC whilst on-deck; but then you have the huge, epic, galaxy-spanning monologue by the diadect. The two are both trademarks of the series, but the way they are handled and presented are top notch in comparison to Bungie's approach

His eyebrows sparkling, his white beard hangs down to his chest. The thatched mats, spread outside his chise, spread softly, his splendid attos. He polishes, cross-legged, his makiri, with his eyes completely absorbed.

He is Ainu.

The god of Ainu Mosir, Ae-Oine Kamuy, descendant of Okiku-Rumi, He perishes, a living corpse. The summers day, the white sunlight, unabrushed, ends simply through his breath alone.
The ending was okay, but I absolutely despised the "press x to Jason" boss fight. Halo 3 has never been about boss fights, but on the occasion they did (such as Halo 2) they were pretty good.

The rest of the story was trash and I hated every second of it. Easiest Legendary run I've had at that.

I thought the Cortana cutscene was a bit cheesy but it made for some excellent character development. I think the contrast between Cortana's first and last words of the game really sum up how John developed through the game.

Yeah, I still don't know how to feel about that.

Halo 4 is like a DVD I only watched once.
