I still think that might be the back of the phantom. The two smaller blue lights could be the back guns they seem to have but never use.

You have to see it frame by frame but it is indeed backwards.

I thought it was just an odd lighting [as in like the part in the trailer was just a weird shot]. The actual intro cutscene is like, in the daytime. How do you mess up this badly?

It's a shame because the level itself and the remastered skybox is brilliant IMO.
