860 is so I have room to upgrade to more powerful parts. it's just for breathing room in the future.

What kind of editing will you be doing?

I need to do some 'demo reels' for branding and getting more sponsors to take a look at my racing and maybe get me signed, I also think I might open up a youtube channel for gaming, motovlogging, or some other shit.

Well, on that side, rendering will probably be the only thing that will be resource extensive, I suppose you'll be using adobe's video editor?

I'd say a bit too expensive, Why a 290x? Isn't the 980 around the same price and has better performance?

Edit: Nevermind was thinking of the 970. Decent build tho.

You're going to need more than 1 TB of hard drive space if you're doing a lot of editing.  Also I'd go for an 8-core CPU.

I have another 1tb hard drive laying around, and the videos don't need to be pumped out at the speed of light...
