Games to Purchase list

Yo Flood/Sep7/whatever, I'm graduating and commissioning in December which means I get to do big-boy stuff like buy video games and pay taxes, and I've sworn off games until I finish school in a few weeks, so I'm making a list of games I need to buy and play. Help me fill in the blanks.

-Far Cry 4
-AC:U & R
-Halo MCC
-Dragon Age
-Borderlands PS
-Dark Souls 2 DLC
-Hyrule Warriors
-Shadow of Mordor
-Bayonetta 2
-SSBU/SSBDS
-South Park: Stick of Truth

Also, is AC:U fine on console? My PC is decent but it's getting a lot of flack for its port, so I figured I'd stick to the X1.

Right now the only ones on my list are Dragon Age and maybe Farcry 4. Although, hopefully I will get them for Christmas.

With how disappointing the xbone and MCC is, I'm not sure if I even care for gaming anymore. The Xbone has a slower UI than the 360, party chat rarely, if ever works, can't even store your own music on it or play music while playing, etc. Then don't even get me started on the MCC. It's kinda fitting how Halo got me into gaming and it's about to make me get out.

Well they released it way before it was ready.

>Campaign for the most part works correctly (though I've heard coop is extremely laggy like CEA for the 360)
>Has crashed/frozen over a dozen times in the ~40 hours I've played (mostly campaign)
>Can only save 50 files (things like maps, gametypes, film clips, etc)
>Can't save films
>No file browser

Matching Making was severely broken and is only slightly better now.
>Finding a match can still take hours
>You can find a match in 30 seconds but when you do it can be extremely uneven (7v2s, 5v3s, etc)
>Had games wherein the first 3 minutes I am the only one with a kill on my team, usually the most in the game, and my team mates are getting a train ran on them by the other team.
>Failed to connect to host error message can pop up several times while searching in a few minutes
>Until last Thursday they left the option for host to boot people through the score board like a custom game

That's off the top of my head.

Unity has been fine for me on Xbone save for some frame rate issues in the particularly busy crowds / buildings. They don't bother me but it's something to consider.

Dude Alien: Isolation. One of the best games of this year by far. That is if you're fan of survival horror games and the Aliens franchise.

You might want to consider the newly announced DS2 version for next gen. Sounds pretty good and includes all DLC.

I've got it in PC already. Did they do any graphical improvements? Can you transfer your character like you can for Skyrim?

Yeah, but the ending and boss battles are absolutely abysmal. Solid game overall though.

I also recommend GTA V on next gen. First person mode is a blast.

Once I get a job: AC Unity. I am not yet convinced to get Far Cry 4 based on the reviews and footage I have seen. Also at this point I have been over saturated with FPS. Maybe GTA V, but I have never bought a game in the franchise before. I think I need a game with a bit of humor in it.

That's off the top of my head.

Don't forget achievements not unlocking in campaign. Nothing says disappointment like completing a level on Legendary and not having it pop(happened to me this afternoon).

Last gen was too long, so 10 years is ridiculously long. The PS4 and Xbone are already outdated as it is.

Hold off on Unity until next year. It needs fixing on all platforms.
Rogue on the other hand is doing fine as far as I know. If you liked AC4 then you'll probably like Rogue. It's releasing on PC early next year, just in case you didn't know.

Again, hold off on it for now. It's a good game, but it really needs fixing on every platform.
