If they don't change that, I will never buy another product from 343.

Seriously, it looks oversaturated as fuck, not to mention we all know there won't even be ANY firefight. What really bothers me is how badly I want to have my own ports let alone create my very own Halo game using existing Bungie assets, but that would only get me sued.

This is why I stick with the Xbox, PC, and 360 versions of the games.

Edit: Looking at it now I honestly hope that's just debug lighting.
You won't get sued for making your own Halo game as long as you aren't making any money off of it.
It's stated in MS' fair use document.

Well it would be an obvious freebie, but that's legal to do? I thought you could only make maps on the PC versions and revisions to whatever CMT is doing.

Thanks. I'll check this out.

There also Installation 01 and Sins o te Prophets, the latter being a huge mod for the game Sins o a Solar Empire.

If you count it, there was the smaller fan project UNSC Warfare on the Internet, though that was more of a test for an idea. The guy making it messaged 343 and they confirmed you can make a Halo game as long as its free and doesn't have Halo in the title (Hene Project Contingency, Installation 01 both not having Halo in the title), so people aren't getting confused between official and fan creations and canon.

I should see if I could make an ODST game using the ODST engine, though that's probably not feasible because it's never been publicly released aside from the game ODST, and to decomplie that would cost so much fucking money, I'd have to spend money on a Jtag and that's just the beginning.
Just use one of the many open source engines that are available.

Aside from the main Halo 1 Engine and the Halo 2 map editor, what other ones?
Unity, idTech...

Oh that, I meant ones with existing assets already, but yeah I already use Unity so that is an option. I don't think I've heard of IdTech. That's not something like RPG maker is it?

Hence work in progress.. By the way, ODST is being given to us, for FREE (As long as you have MCC of course).. Little room for bitching to be honest

Actually, no it isn't. See, 343 made a deal with satan. They give us ODST for free so we can enjoy it in glorious HD. But only if they killed the main character off so that no more ODST in glorious HD can ever be made again.

Them sneaky fucks.
More than one ODST exists you know.
Rookie wasn't even really a character. He was just a plot/story vehicle.

The Rookie was suppose to be the player from what I know. That's why he never spoke. As in you the player identify with the rookie.
The Rookie was a story/plot vehicle. He only existed to take you through the game's story.
He wasn't even a character really, just a blank slab.

Rookie being killed off doesn't rule out the possibility of future ODST games.

Sadly that's not what kills it off, since 343 converted ODST's into Spartan 4's somehow or whatever they're called.
ODST's still exist. Not all of them became S-IVs.

Okay good.

You've never heard of id Software? id Tech is the name of their engine (newest version is id Tech 5 which you need a license for, used for games like Wolfenstien: The New Order). You can use id Tech 4 for free though (used for games like DOOM 3 and Brink.)

There's already been a guy who made ODST Mombassa Streets on CE, so you'd be better off making your own campaign to be honest.

Which would be fucking amazing.

Deci, you should make a campaign in CE using open sauce for Keks.

Make it like this, but intentionally have a shit-over-the-top-story with good gameplay:
