Square Enix and their partnership with Nexon finally released some news on the Vana'diel Project announced a while back. They are currently making headway in their attempt to reboot FFXI to the mobile market. It is said that will offer the same amount of content and quality XI had up to Chains of Promathia.

And personally? I think this is dog trash no matter how much gold paint SE tries to put over it. They have been squeezing the mobile cows tit for far too long now and they should've just made a FFXI HD for the current console generation/PC, or a single player FFXI for current consoles/PC. The current FFXI isn't going to last much longer (which is a shame since I only have three hours of playtime on it), and as such they need to keep all of their main numbered titles available for people, but having one be available only on Mobile is such a shitty business move.
