What's wrong with Hyrule Warriors
It's a musou game so if you don't like how Dynasty Warriors plays at all, you wouldn't like this.

i'd say link is just as expressive in botw

what's impressive about ww is that they managed to pull it off in 2003
It wasn't bad per say but sailing was boring. If you bought WW you got Ocarina of Time Master Quest with it and I remember playing it just as much in 2003 and even more it in later years.

i'd say link is just as expressive in botw

what's impressive about ww is that they managed to pull it off in 2003
It wasn't bad per say but sailing was boring. If you bought WW you got Ocarina of Time Master Quest with it and I remember playing it just as much in 2003 and even more it in later years.

they tried to recapture that explorative feeling the first LoZ had in WW but just couldn't because of the hardware limitations. it also suffered from a lot of cut content that would have introduced a new world, similar to how ocarina of time had the past and future worlds to explore.

it's still an excellent 10/10 game don't get me wrong but i just find BOTW to be a better execution of what WW tried to do.

if i'm styling on an enemy, but it turns out all i needed to do was shoot them in the face, that's going to be more annoying than anything

Sure you can win fighting games by button mashing. They're quite similar in my mind, you can llay both hack and slash and fighting games by just hitting buttons, finding like one or two that works and sticking to it. To up your game however it takes more effort. I don't see the difference.

Ninja Gaiden is a hack n slash game but you need to know the combos and be damn good at dodging and blocking to live
if a game actually requires skill and timing and shit to win, it's not really a hack n slash, it's just an action game

the whole point of hack n slash is that they're mindless entertainment for 12 year olds who don't like thinking that much

depth is objective. you can calculate it. fundamental controls options x number of varied button inputs + NPC ability.

it takes about 3 or 4 hours to really enjoy wind waker
