The music in Fallout 3 was outstanding. Certainly beats most of the country-western shit on FNV.

So I haven't really been keeping up, are you proper getting into the roleplay aspect of it, or just playing it like it's a videogame? I mean are you actually making the decisions that you as a character would make in universe, and all that kind of stuff. I like to really get into it, set up an organized home base, arrange all my stuff neatly and not just chuck it in a big pile

i'm really getting into it, yeah--every choice i make is a choice i would've made irl (to my best judgment)

the hardest thing about that so far is that, if i so happen to die, it's like... the biggest immersion killer ever

so i'll try not to ever die

It doesn't break the immersion for me that much. I save pretty much everywhere so I see it as some kind of groundhog day reset.

Fallout 3 music is great. Can't wait for Fallout 4's selection.

There's a perk that lets you find more caps in objects and another perk that lets you find more ammo in objects as well. I always picked those in my playthroughs and they helped out a whole lot.

And later on in the game, if you decide to do this DLC or not, in Mothership Zeta there's tons of alien crystals around. They're weightless so you can carry as much as you want. You can sell those for a shitload of caps.

You tried to arrest that asshole in the suit didnt you? And it backfired....literally....

Thats the only time I ever reloaded, got him to stand up then started shooting.

Yeah. It's okay, though--I went back in the saloon, and everyone seems to be impressed by my actions, now. At least, Nova does <_< At any rate, it's better than everyone trying to kill me because of some accidental friendly fire.

Now that Burke is dead too, though, I want to somehow break into his house. It's locked very tight, though, so I probably won't bother for now. As for Moriarty, now he raised his offer to 300 caps, because I "declined" his last offer of 100. And since I "declined" his offer for 300, I suspect he'll be increasing it to 500 the next time I speak to him.

At which point, I may just poison him or something.


Went scrapping awhile ago and happened across Big Town. Fortunately, it's en route to where I have to deliver Lucy's message, so that's a valuable map marker. Seems like an ominous place, though. Super Mutants? Hmm.


While it's clever how each merchant offers a different amount of caps for each item based around its base value, it's certainly not doing me any favors...

Is there a way I can look at my character's face? I just bought some biker goggles and I want to know how dapper I look.

During my very first playthrough many years ago, I found a radscorpion in some abandoned house. It fucked me up. Never played again until this thread!

Hold whatever button you use for third person mode and use the right stick. The button might be L1 or L2.
